Improving Infrastructure

In fulfilment of the outputs of the Strategic Planning Workshop of July 2016 two projects were started as soon as the Board allocated money for them.  Additional space adjacent to out current offices was acquired from our landlord, UKZN.  Two of their large workshops were renovated.  The one was converted into a training-cum-conference centre while the other was converted into a sixty-seater call centre.  Both projects were completed at the end of 2017.

In partnership with Lead HR Consulting we have organised a five-day SAQA accredited Work Readiness Programme for out of work youth.  We have also submitted a number of projects for accreditation by two Seta’s.

During January and February of this year one of the larger Private Colleges used the Call Centre to run a student recruitment campaign. We are also partnering with the Co-Operative Education Department of the Durban University of Technology and have placed a number of their students into internships in the new Call centre.

We have been approached by one of the public universities to run their call centre during January next year. We are hoping that more institutions will make use of our call centre.
